Song of the Day – “Angel City Gamble” by As Blood Runs Black

Instinct is the long-awaited second album from deathcore band As Blood Runs Black.

The second album didn’t receive the same attention that 2006 release Allegiance did, probably in part due to the former vocalist’s replacement by Sonik Garcia.

Regardless, Instinct still should receive more attention than it does. There was a generous amount of hype for the album’s release, and then once it released, As Blood Runs Black more or less fell out of the metal scene.

“Angel City Gamble” is, in my opinion, the strongest track on the release (right behind Resist.)

Despite the feedback on this release, it’s still great metal and worthy of any deathcore fan’s music collection.
